november 269FISHERMEN:  Last chance to bring your catch to the office, have us weigh it and photograph you with it, and enter it in our Season-Long Contest which ends on Labor Day with presentation of Trophy & Cash Prize.  Any entry must be caught in Bowdish Lake by a registered camper.  (Sorry, visitors are excluded.)

10 a.m. – 5 p.m.  BEACH OPEN – Please swim only when and where Lifeguard is on duty.  There are State Laws for your safety.  If you have a boat, launch it at the launch area west of Beach 2.  Trailers must be returned to your site or parked in the field.  There is no parking at the boat launch.  We must keep the area clear for emergencies.

7 – 10 p.m.  BEACH REC HALL OPEN – Games & Snacks

11 p.m.      All Quiet on Sites – Please. no unnecessary walking about after 11.  It is very disquieting to those wishing to sleep.  Thank you.

12 Midnight – All Campfires Fully Extinguished

Campfires are allowed only if they are contained within a ring of stones; Flames are never more than 12 inches high; They are never left unattended; And are fully extinguished by midnight.

10 a.m. – 5 p.m  BEACH OPEN – Please, no animals in the water or on the Beach area where persons swim by order of the RI Department of Health.  There is no parking at our beaches.  We must keep all roads clear for emergencies.  Please walk for great exercise!

10 a.m.  SANDLOT SOFTBALL – Safari Field.  All ages. Winning Team members will each receive a commemorative medal at the Awards Dinner on September 1.

10 a.m. – Noon  PONY RIDES – $2.00  — Purchase tickets ahead at the Office.  The Pony Lady has Bunnies for ticket-holders to pet and to hold while waiting in line.  Safari Field.

10 a.m. – 3 p.m. &  7 – 10 p.m.  BEACH REC HALL OPEN – Games & Snacks

Noon – 2 p.m. RED CRAFT HOUSE Open – SPECIAL – TIE DYE A TEE – Using our shirt & dyes – $6.00, or bring your own shirt and use our dyes – $3.50.  Other craft projects available at reasonable prices – finishing materials free.  – All Ages. – Children under age 7 must be with an Adult. Thank you.

1 p.m. DAY ONE MULTI-SPORT EVENT  – Basketball followed by Horseshoes. Meet at the Basketball Court.  All campers welcome.  Awards will be presented.

4 p.m. – LON CEREL – MAGIC SHOW & ANIMAL BALLOONS – Safari Rec Hall – Great Fun for All Ages!Lon Cerel Magic Show & Balloon Animals

4 p.m. ADULTS VOLLEY BALLAt the net at Blue 43 – All campers welcome!  Team Play – Awards will be made to the winning team at Dinner on Sept. 1

5 p.m. CHILDREN’S HAY WAGON RIDES – Pick up and drop off at Safari Field.  Parents:  Do not allow your child to ride unless you are certain he/she will remain seated. Parents are invited to ride.  No Charge.

7:30 p.m. FREE PRIZE BINGO – Safari Rec Hall – All ages welcome!  Fun & Prizes, too!!!

8 p.m. PARTY TIME WITH D-J GARY MARANDOLA –  and Campers’ Fire at the Red Pavilion (weather permitting).  COME & ENTER THE TALENT COMPETITION – 3 Age Groups.  Trophies will be awarded at the Awards Dinner on September 1.

11:30 a.m.   PARACHUTE PLAY & GAMES  – Safari Field.

12 Noon   HORSESHOE TOURNAMENT – Men’s & Women’s Divisions – with Players’ Pot Luck Lunch – at the Pits in the Green Area.  Bring a Dish to participate.  Great new pits have been built by our volunteer seasonals just for the occasion.  All registered campers are invited to play.

1 p.m.  BEACH REC HALL OPEN – Games & Snacks

1 p.m.  MULTI-SPORTS DAY 2 – VOLLEYBALL & DARTS – Meet at the Court at Blue 43.  All registered campers welcome.  Awards will be made.

5 – 6 p.m.  AWARDS DINNER – Beach Rec Hall – Meatballs and Pasta with Red Sauce, Italian bread & butter, coffee or chocolate milk. Purchase tickets ahead at the office.  Only 100 will be sold.

7 p.m.  PING PONG & FOOSBALL COMPETITIONS AT THE BEACH REC HALL

8:30 p.m.  AWARDS PRESENTED:  FISHING, SOFTBALL, HORSESHOES, VOLLEYBALL, MULTI-SPORTS, DARTS, TALENT, Etc. followed by Music & Good Old Camper Conversation.

11 p.m.  All Quiet on Sites

12 Midnight – All Campfires fully extinguished.

 

Monday, September 2, 2013   LABOR DAY

5 p.m. Check-Out Time  Please wrap all trash and place inside a dumpster.  We appreciate it when you leave your site as neat as you found it.

MOST IMPORTANT – HAVE A GREAT TIME & PLEASE COME BACK AGAIN !!

 

 

Our woods are best in the Fall Season.

We remain open until Columbus Day!
