If you have a boat, launch it at the launch area west of Beach 2. There is no parking at the launch area. We must keep the area clear for emergency vehicles.  Return your boat trailer to your site after launch.  Thank you.

Fishermen: Bring your catch to the office to be weighed, photographed and entered in our season-long Contest. Prize & Trophy awarded on Labor Day Weekend.

12 Midnight – ALL CAMPFIRES FULLY EXTINGUISHED!

This fire regulation must be strictly adhered to in order to protect our environment, If you forgot the makings of S’mores, we have them in our store. For those of you who enjoy singing, try a-capella.

SPORTS EQUIPMENT: Bowdish Lake has lots of opportunity for your favorite sport or just good exercise, on loan at the office. Ask to borrow bats & balls, basketballs, volleyballs, kick balls, horseshoes, stilts, hoops, Frisbees, etc. Ask for maps of the miles of hiking trails in the State Forest that surrounds us. A good place to start is a walk around Wilbur Pond. (Or browse our lending library!) GOLFERS, check out our new practice net in Safari Field.  Also, check out the LABRYNTH in Safari Field near the golf practice net.

10 AM to 5 PM — BEACH OPEN (weather permitting)  Swim only when & where Lifeguard is on Duty.  There are State Laws for your safety.  If you have a boat, launch it at the launch area west of Beach 2.  There is no parking at the boat launch area.  Boat trailers must be returned to your site while you are out on the water.

2 PM — HUMANS & ZOMBIES

SPECIAL EVENT at SAFARI FIELD

New to Bowdish Lake:  Join the crew of THE MASTERMINDS for a fun game of HUMANS & ZOMBIES. The Masterminds will provide Nerf Guns and protective eyewear. (Bring your own Nerf Gun if you have one.)
Meet at Safari Field and plan on two hours of fun.

Best for ages 7 and up.


5 PM — CHILDRENS’ HAY WAGON RIDES

Pick-up and drop-off at Safari Field. Parents, do not allow your child to ride unless you are certain he/she will remain seated. Parents are invited to ride.


7 – 10 PM — BEACH REC HALL OPEN

8 PM – MOVIE WITH FREE POPCORN – Disney’s Animated “THE SECRET LIFE OF PETS”
            Fun for all ages.


7:30 PM — FREE PRIZE BINGO

Come and win a flowering plant to brighten your trailer, your campsite or your home as the season for flowers begins.  All Ages.

campfireCAMPFIRES: Campfires are allowed only if they are contained within a ring of stones, flames are never more than 12 inches high, they are never left unattended and are fully out at midnight. This fire regulation must be strictly adhered to in order to protect our environment, If you forgot the makings of S’mores, we have them in our store. For those of you who enjoy singing, try a-capella.

SPORTS EQUIPMENT: Bowdish Lake has lots of opportunity for your favorite sport or just good exercise, on loan at the office. Ask to borrow bats & balls, basketballs, volleyballs, kick balls, horseshoes, stilts, hoops, Frisbees, etc. Ask for maps of the miles of hiking trails in the State Forest that surrounds us. A good place to start is a walk around Wilbur Pond. (Or browse our lending library!)
